Our friends L and A took their IELTS exams in Australia and Singapore and said their writing topics were the same. Here is what they remembered:
Writing task 1 (a report)
We were given one pie chart and one triple-line graph. The pie chart showed the distribution of workforce (of three groups of people: born in Australia, English-speaking and non-English-speaking countries) in per cent in 2003. The line graph compared the unemployment rates of those groups between 1993 and 2003.
Writing task 2 (an essay)
Today we can see an over consumption of natural resources such as air, fresh water, oil and so on. The usage is increasing at a very dangerous pace and is already reaching critical levels. What are the reasons contributing to this? What should be done to minimise the effects?
